Helping Young Appalachians Follow Their Dreams

The Little General Scholarship Program

It’s hard to believe, but soon it’ll be time for area high school seniors to leave the proverbial nest and walk bravely into their future. Whether that future is a program at a four-year college or university, trade school, or entering the workforce, these students have worked hard in high school to follow their dreams and help create their ideal future. We all know that paying for school can be stressful and intimidating, but Little General is here to help with the LG Scholarship Program.

The LG Scholarship Program is a one-time $1,000 scholarship that goes out to at least 20 high school seniors in West Virginia with plans to continue their education. Students who plan to attend a one, two, or four-year program are eligible to apply.

What do you need to do to apply for the LG Scholarship? Your first step is to download an application! Find the application here on our website. We also want to know about you! What activities did you participate in during your four years in high school? Did you volunteer in your community? What awards or recognitions have you received? Anything about you that is relevant to why you would make an excellent candidate for the LG Scholarship, we want to know! We’re also interested in your future goals and aspirations – tell us how the LG Scholarship can help you take the necessary steps to make your dreams a reality. Along with information about you, we also need three references, with at least one of them being a teacher at your current school.

That’s it! Pretty simple, right? We’re accepting applications now, so go ahead and get started! Let us know if you have any questions throughout the process. When you’ve completed your application, send it to:
